Mugshots Coffeehouse, located at 340 Water St, Allegan, MI, offers a delightful retreat for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts alike. Customers rave about the inviting atmosphere, enhanced by an outdoor deck that overlooks the river. Many visitors express their appreciation for the friendly and attentive staff, who consistently go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant dining experience. The menu shines with its creative sandwiches and breakfast options. Standouts like the “Patty Hearst” — an egg, tomato, and brie croissant — and the “Al Capone,” featuring sumptuous ham and salami with provolone, receive high praise for their flavor and presentation. Salad options, like the fig salad, complement the extensive sandwich offerings beautifully, making it a favorite among patrons looking for a “you pick 2” deal. While some diners have suggested that food freshness could be improved, the overall quality remains impressive, especially given the reasonable prices. Specialty drinks, such as blended cremes and frozen lattes, further elevate the coffeehouse experience. Overall, Mugshots Coffeehouse is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a meal, and savor exceptional coffee in a charming setting. Visitors can expect not just great food but also a warm, welcoming vibe that makes them want to return week after week.

Great atmosphere with a lovely outdoor deck by the river. Staff always goes above and beyond. I go here every week and I'm never disappointed! My favorites are the iced coffee and Patty Hearst breakfast sandwich. Yum!

Beautiful surroundings. Comfortable inside. Filled with artwork. Found myself wishing for the time that photos of Littlejohn will be taken, processed and mounted on the walls too.

Absolutely adorable place... Friendly workers . They can make any coffee drink.. You can also choose your own tea. Food could be a little fresher

We had the Doll iced & Flopper hot, both very good. For food we had the the cheddar broccoli soup, & the Deadwood sandwich with carrots & hummus. We enjoyed it all on the back deck on a beautiful afternoon. This was our first visit & we were pleasantly surprised! Definitely recommend.

Great tasting food, great quantity of food, great prices. It's all across the broad 8/10 - as far as the food taste and quality, but the good quantity and reasonable prices push this spot up to the 5/5 stars. I'd come here a lot if I was a local. Definitely check this out if you are in the area if you want to stop by for a great lunch spot. The sandwiches, salads, and coffee are upscale for the rural area, but similar to what you would find in a low of other more developed areas. People seem to really appreciate this spot, though! I tried the fig salad with Mugshots' version of a "You pick 2" sandwich and salad deal and left plenty full for lunch with the amount of salad I got pairing with my sandwhich. I tried most of my group's coffee, and the only downside was the cortado I got was pretty poor-mediocre. Cortados are not on their menu to be fair and other coffee drinks were good, so I don't think it's fair to knock a star off for that. Overall, great eatery. Will be back if I'm in the area!

This was a nice cafe with a comfy atmosphere and good views from the windows. The menu was varied with lots of interesting sounding options, and the staff was friendly. It was a popular place during my visit. I ended up having the latte and a chocolate croissant to go, and both were decent. This seems like a nice place to visit if you’re in downtown Allegan.

Have been coming here for years but when I came in today they were playing almost exclusively Twice so whoever is in charge of the music/playlist has impeccable taste. To whoever the fellow Once at Mugshots is, I'm sending you love

Loveeee that they can make decaf specialty coffees. Only thing I wish was they were open on Sundays when I run errands but 10/10 would recommend giving them a try.
